Writing on Wednesday

New series! New series! Inspired by the blogger behind Oh Simple Thoughts, I decided that Wednesday was the perfect day of the week to stop, remember what I’m thankful for, and write small little letters saying just that. The school year coming to a close and summer is right around the corner. For the past month, every Wednesday has been hard. Real hard. Its the day in the middle of the week, the hump day, the day that always makes me want to run as fast I can allllllll the way to Friday.

So. Here it goes.

Dear family, thank you for loving me and supporting me like no other. For your kind words and your loving hearts. Mom and dad, for your hard work and efforts that resulted in the unthinkable this week: a new car, all for me (!!!!! I KNOW IM FREAKING OUT YOU GUYS).

Dear S, this week has been stressful for you with a big final project and a list of models to build, but I’m excited to see that you found your footing and I’m looking forward to the smooth sailing that will be the rest of this week. And I have a surprise for you on Saturday that includes a drive back home and a day filled with your favorite things (wait for that post this weekend…)!

Dear homework, you suck.

Dear finals, I hate you. Sorry. Not sorry.

Dear rain, go away. Please.

Dear Katie, I hope you know how important you are to me. I swear I’m not trying to be all sappy. You’re my freakin’ best friend!! And I can’t wait to do life with you as SOPHOMORES IN COLLEGE and have you living in the same apartment as me. You’ll be a step outside my door and this school year will be great. Except when I have 8ams. That won’t be great. But we can cook dinner together and watch Netflix and plan our lives, one pin at a time.

Dear 3 month old twins I now nanny for, oh, I could squeeze you! You’re the cuddliest, cutest, most snuggly babies and I adore you. I’ve only hung out with you for three days total, but you still make Wednesday mornings very, very, bearable. Counting down until I see you next!

Dear people who read my blog, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

  • I love this idea, and I’m really looking forward to the series. It’s so easy to get boggled down with life and complain about the things we don’t have rather than taking time to be thankful for the things we do have. Such a great reminder!

  • Aw, what a sweet post! Love all the gratitude and yes, homework does suck and so does rain! 😉

  • Dear Savannah, thank you for this post! It made me smile 🙂 xx Lisa
