Summer + Blog Updates

Well, I have 10 days of school left (!!!!), and then its

THANK. GOD. Last summer was great: I started this blog, travelled out of the US for the second time (hello, Canada!), met my partner in crime, and moved away to college. This summer, I’ll be writing on Always, S from all around! In May, I’m heading over to Windy Gap, a YoungLife camp near Asheville, NC for their annual Work Week. Work Week is a week before summer camp sessions start where a bunch of fun and Jesus lovin’ college kids get together and clean the camp so it can house high school students just one short week later. Crazy, huh? Next, I’m going on a trip with my best friend Katie. Where we’re going, you don’t know yet, but I swear that its the BEST surprise! She’ll move into my apartment with me when we get back, and we’ll start our sophomore year together in August. Its crazy that at this time last year, I was getting ready to finish high school and walk across the stage at graduation. Time flies, ya’ll.

Just in case you missed this announcement in my last Friday Favorites post, if you direct your attention to the sidebar on your right and then scroll down just a tad, you’ll probably see some pretty squares under the tab “Blogs I <3” …well, I’m excited to say that I’ve met three great new girls and we’re swapping ads! Strum Simmer Sip, Erinfinity, and Alaska Renee are all great blogs, and I can’t wait for you read them and take a look. Like I said in my Friday Favorites, if you want to ad swap too, shoot me an email and we can make it work!

Finally, I’m preparing a post that’s all about summer must-haves. If you have one thing you can’t do summer without, please comment below or send me an email! Your answer will be included in my next post.

Thanks so much for reading and listening to me ramble about next season’s adventures. I can’t wait to hear yours!

FOR YOU: Leave a comment below with your one summer thing you can’t live without and your summer plans.

My summer must haves are straw hats! I love them and they are so in this season 🙂 xoxo

Thanks for telling me your summer must-have! A straw hat is definitely a necessity 🙂

  • I can’t live without a good foundation. Something moisturizing with SPF is preferred. You’re going to have an amazing summer. I’m about to graduate from college, but I have a full-time job lined up so I’ll be doing that.

  • This summer I am planning on moving to the beautiful city of Charleston, SC and graduating! I can’t wait to hear more about your surprise trip!

This will be the first summer that I’ve worked in a while, but I finally found a job that I love while I am finishing up school so I don’t mind it all that much! I can’t live without a fun getaway in the summer. Even if it is just a small trip to a neighboring city, vacation time is definitely needed!

  • i’m with you! I just LOVE summer! It sounds like you have an exciting summer planned! My summer essential is sunscreen! I have such pale skin and I do my best to take care of it. I don’t lay out during the summer and if I play to be outside, I always lather on the sunscreen!
