Smile Brilliant for Summer (GIVEAWAY!)

Whitening Teeth At Home

I received products to review for this post. As always, this review is 100% honest.

TODAY WE ARE GOING TO TALK ABOUT TEETH.

I had braces for almost three years. And I hated every second of it. Who’s with me on that one? Orthodontists try to get you all excited by promising you can pick out colors (we are on to you, ortho), but I was SO self conscious about my metal mouth that I didn’t even care.

Before (LORD HELP OMG), during, after.

When I got my braces off, it was immediately clear that I wasn’t taking care of my teeth like I should. I instantly got into a routine of brushing my teeth twice a day (I had only brushed once a day before. I know, gross) and flossing whenever I remembered. I stopped drinking soda regularly and eating sugary stuff before bed. I bought minty mouth wash and kept it on my counter so I would remember. While taking care of my teeth now, although I haven’t had any problems like cavities (thank GOD), sometimes I still feel like they could be just a liiiiitle bit whiter. With summer right around the corner, I want to be confident in smiling in pictures on the beach or out in a dress in heels with my friends. I don’t want to have to worry about the color or how my smile will look on camera! I gave Smile Brilliant’s teeth whitening kit a try in an attempt to find a routine that was right for me.

One of the first things I noticed about Smile Brilliant was their attention to detail. I got a customized, fit to me retainer set to use with the whitening gel, and I was SO pleased with it! Before I received the retainer I had to send in a mold, similar to when you get impressions done at the dentist. If you use store bought whitening kits, like the ones by Crest, they don’t offer a custom retainer, so I liked Smile Brilliant more right away. Prior to Smile Brilliant, the custom fitted tray was only available at the dentist office for $500+. I would never consider paying that much money, so I’m relieved to find a more affordable option in Smile Brilliant.

The process is simple: insert the whitening gel into your retainer, fitting it in your mouth perfectly!

Leave the gel in for a while (I did it for a little less than an hour) BUT don’t keep the molds in if your teeth start tingling or if it starts to hurt, of course! Work up in intervals so your teeth get used to the treatment.

Next, use the desensitizing gel to make sure you allow your teeth the chance to re-hydrate. (Take a peek at this video for a step by step guide!)

Smile Brilliant has given me the kit I need to make me feel confident with my smile, no matter what. And they want to giveaway a kit to YOU, too! Not sold yet? Feel free to hop over to their website to read more testimonies.

Here’s the deal:

Your prize? Store credit equal to Teeth Whitening Trays, including 3 whitening gel syringes and 3 desensitizing gel syringes OR the Teeth Whitening Trays + 6 whitening gel syringes. You, of course, can change the selection (as long as you pay the difference). The winner will be given a code they can use at checkout. This giveaway IS open INTERNATIONALLY. Additional shipping fees may apply (for the custom molds) if the winner is out of the United States. You have TWO (2) WEEKS to enter to win your very own key to the perfect summer smile!

  • Such an informative post! I had braces for 4 years and it was so crazy! I also have had 16 teeth pulled PLUS my wisdom. Oh man.. haha. Dental work is a long process but so worth it! Xoxo Mindy

  • Anna Hubbard

I had metal retainers from 3rd to the end of 8th grade, and then I had braces from then all the way up to one of the last weeks of my senior year, so I totally get the whole dental work struggle. I’ve never heard of a teeth whitener that you can put on clear retainers, though. That’s really cool!
