Last month, I saw a huge increase in my social media following and that makes me so happy!

I’m so excited for this month and I’ve gotten such a positive response to posts so far, like the one about my word of the year or the introduction of my new series.  Oh, and the Blogging Elite 1 Year Anniversary GIVEAWAY is still happening! Click here to enter.

I can’t put into words how thankful I feel to be part of such an amazing community. I know I sound like a broken record, but thank you so much for reading my words and sharing your thoughts. I would really appreciate it if you would take about 5 minutes (that’s all!!) to fill out a quick reader survey so I can continue to grow as a writer and grow Always, S. • Miss ALK

Good for you for wanting to set a budget so early in 2016! I know that will pay off for you in many ways (no pun intended 🙂 ). Good luck with all of your goals!

    xoxo A

    • Savannah Ward

Thanks so much! So jealous of your weekend with D!!!

  • I love all of your goals. I find that writing them down (and making them public!) really helps me stick to them. I also like making monthly goals because they are much easier to keep track of than a yearly list that I inevitably end up forgetting about…

    • Savannah Ward

I agree – when I make a yearly list, the goals seem unattainable! Making them public puts a lot of pressure on me, but in a good way!

  • I love the idea of monthly goals and how you post on the progress you’ve made! I may have to start doing this to myself in my own planner. One of my New Years resolutions was to stop eating out so much (not getting off to a great start considering I’ve went out to eat 3 times last week… whoops.) because I have been spending WAY too much money. Hopefully we’ll both get better at it!!

I hope we will too!! Its so hard to not eat out because Wendy’s and Chick Fil A are SO close. Ugh. On the struggle bus.

  • love this! I am trying so hard to stay fit and working on limiting the amount of takeout I buy. Like you, my wallet is crying too haha! I need to stop ordering pizza or chinese at college! x, kenz http://sincerelykenz.com/

    • Savannah Ward

Chinese is my WEAKNESS! I even talk about that in my bio on my sidebar…hahah so I feel you. Good luck with your goals this month!

  • I love reading other peoples’ goals! I slacked on my December goals too, but I’m hopeful for the rest of January. Also, your social stats look great! My numbers for Twitter and IG are pretty low, but I do well on Pinterest. I’d love to help you reach 1,000 pageviews this month! Let me know if there’s a post you’d like some extra love on and I’d be happy to share it with my readers! Your blog is beautiful and it deserves attention!

    • Savannah Ward

Hey Sara! Thank you SO much for offering, that’s so sweet! I would really love to expand on Pinterest in any way, so if you see a post on here that stands out to you, I would love for you to share! Some recent posts that have stood out on my blog and maybe ones that fall in line with your blog topics are my Interview with a Professor (my mom!!) http://thealwaysblog.com/advice-by-a-professor/ and my post about my word of the year, intention: http://thealwaysblog.com/intentional/ I’ve been reading your blog for almost a year now and your writing is so great. Hope you’re having a great weekend! 🙂

  • Kayla S

Sticking to a workout routine is always so difficult, isn’t it? Congrats on your one year coming up!

    • Savannah Ward

Thanks so much Audrey! I don’t want to just post a check list so I try to add a little more info to make the post less boring 😛

  • I hear you on the crying wallet. After paying tuition in December and gifts and sales…it is in a sad state.

    • Savannah Ward

I KNOW. I’m trying to save up for traveling this summer and its soooo hard when I’m constantly having to spend a little here and there for random stuff.

  • You can do it! You go girl 🙂

  • Sierra Bailey

The wallet crying must be an epidemic, because mine is practically sobbing. Anyhow… these are such awesome goals, especially for a new year! Keep up the good work–I can’t wait to read about all of your DIY projects this month.

    • Savannah Ward

Thanks so much! I can’t wait to include more DIY projects.

  • Kayleigh

Congrats on completing your Dec goals!

    • Savannah Ward

Thanks Kayleigh! Hope you had a great week!

  • Loved reading all about your goals and projects for December and January. I love the projects side of your goals, I think that is so fun becasue we all need to set out some activities that we can try each month. I definitely get the fast food thing. I am a sucker for Papa John’s pizza while I am at college, and I try to cut it out or only buy it when I have a coupon code.

    • Savannah Ward

Oooo yum!!! Papa Johns is my FAVE. I try to limit eating out to once a week but its SO hard. Thanks for commenting girl, hope you’re having a great weekend!
