I’d Rather Be Glamping

I’m still not over my summer time spent in Hawaii, or the big road trip I took across the country, or the first time I went backpacking over fall break. I’m not over ANY of it. I’ve taken an off road tour of the Jurassic World set on the North Shore in Hawaii, I’ve had rattlesnake tacos (yep, you read right) in Colorado, and I’ve climbed up the side of a waterfall in Pisgah National Forest — so when Glamping Hub reached out to me and told me about their camping company, I was SO excited. I’m thrilled to be part of this collaboration, and my last week of 2015 was spent doing what I do best: eating lots of donuts traveling!

Glamping Hub is your one stop shop for all things luxury glamping. Wait, what? What is glamping? Its a giant step above your traditional tent-and-fire-pit setup. Glamping Hub offers many accomondations you’ve never thought possible, like a safari tent looking out into the open wilderness, a cozy a-frame in the mountains, or for me, a house in the trees.

My friend and I showed up to our sweet little escape just as the sun set and for a while we couldn’t even eat our dinner. We were too excited!! We couldn’t believe this was actually happening and it was all so easy.

The Mohican Treehouse was one word: magical. Although it might sound sketchy to some, I fell asleep listening to the rain outside, the treehouse just barely (and I mean barely – don’t panic!!) moving with the wind. In the morning, we woke up (in a freakin’ LOFT) to go downstairs to the kitchen/living room area lit up in blues, reds, and yellows from the stained glass window. We packed up our things and spent a while taking pictures and seeing everything the treehouse had to offer during the day.

With all of the hustle and bustle of school, work, and the tricky stuff that life throws at you, having fun and kicking back can be pushed to the back burner. When you plan a vacation, it can get too overwhelming and putting it all together can be pretty discouraging. Booking a place you’ve never been to or seen before can be stressful, and today the internet is full of scams and dishonest surprises. With GlampingHub, there aren’t any stressful steps or scams. There aren’t any tricks or hoops to jump through. The process is simple: pick your dates, pick a place, and have the adventure of a lifetime!

If I have a goal for 2016, it is this: explore. This summer was such a tease, filled to the brim with fun new places, crazy good food, and incredible people. As life ebs and flows, people come and go, and things change, I feel so thankful to have so many memories and adventures to look back to and lean on.  Do you want to explore too? Start your new year with Glamping Hub and take the trip you’ve been filling your Pinterest boards about. You’ll thank me later.

The guestbook that was left at the treehouse had some of the sweetest memories. So many families have stayed their with their kids, or so many new couples have chosen that treehouse as a spot for their honeymoon! It really is the coolest place.

I love the idea of this! Looks like you had an amazing time, what a great way to end 2015! I love the idea of staying in a tree house, now I can kinda live out my childhood dreams of having a tree house that I never got.

    • Savannah Ward

I know, right? I always used to build forts and *attempt* to build houses in the trees, so it was awesome to be able to stay in something I’ve dreamed about since I was little! Thanks for commenting!

  • Kristine Circenis

This seems like it was so much fun! Definitely makes exploring seem less intimidating.

  • Linda Plourde

Savannah…I LOVE THIS! You have made the gypsy in me long to get out on the road! Your blogs are all so great! You are the BEST granddaughter anyone can ever have. I am sooooo blessed!

  • I haven’t yet tried glamping but am dying to get out there this year!

  • I don’t exactly love camping. I love nature but I hate sleeping in a tent and not having access to heat or a shower. That being said, glamping seems WAY more my style. Great idea!

  • I have always wanted to try glamping! GlampingHub didn’t seem to have any locations near me, but hopefully that will change eventually 🙂 When I went to church camp in middle school, I always went to treehouse camp, and I absolutely loved it!
