Getting to Know: The Clutter Box

Happy Tuesday! Friends, meet Angela from The Clutter Box:

Getting to Know (4)

1. What’s your blog’s name, and why?

My blog’s name is The Clutter Box. I choose it as a reflection of my brain. It’s a clutter of stuff, inside a box that I am trying to organize.

2. How long have you been blogging?

I’ve been blogging since 2007. The Clutter Box originally started in 2012 when I went public. Currently I have been making the move to self-hosted, I have not yet fully migrated everything over. Each day it gets closer to my vision and I am excited for the move!!

3. Fill in the blank: When I’m not blogging, I am _____________.

Hanging out with my best friend, or I’m Volunteering or Working Out.

4. What’s one thing about your blog that makes you proud?

I am so proud of how far I have come these last few years. I have evolved a ton, which has caused my writing style to change. I am no longer allowing fear to hold me back. This year has be bring huge changes to my blog. It’s been a very slow process getting to this point and I can’t wait to see how things will evolve over the next few years.

5. Those who read Always, S can click over to your blog to find __________.

Posts about Fashion, Feminism and what I like to call Stories! The future goal is to create post to discussing feminist books and the bible. There are currently being written and will be going live on June 1st! I am so excited for this direction!

6. Three random facts:

// I have a tattoo on my wrist that says believe, but it doesn’t mean what most people think.

// I have two stuffies for pets – Pascal and Phase. Though one day I want a puppy named Teka.

// I can’t drink anything with caffeine in it. If I do chances are I won’t sleep for days!

7. Your summer must-haves.

A lot of sunshine and a stack of good books! Also a vacation – this year we went on a road trip!

8. If you had to be stranded on a deserted island with one person who would you want that one person to be?

Kevin!! We’d have allot of fun and probably not last very long! Hopefully the island will have internet!

9. Furthest you’ve traveled from your home.

4537 km – When we went to Cuba!!

10. Mountains or beach?

Mountains are amazing but beaches are wonderful. I love the sun and I need the sun.

11. Your dream job.

I am currently searching for it. A place I can work independently but be a good influence for people. I would like to go back to school to get a degree in English with a focus on feminism and women studies, with the eventual goal of become a professor. But I don’t know if that is my dream job or what I am looking for. The next year is going to be full of decisions to determine this.

12. Who or what inspires you?

There are a lot of people who have inspired me,

Jillian – she knows my past and has helped me move on.

Debra – popped into my life from out of no where and she has very much helped me grow this year.

Daphne – my sister is an amazing human being and it’s wonderful to get know her again.

But there are many bloggers out there who have also inspired me

Maegan – Love Maegan

Heather – Proud Book Nerd

Kelly – The Lady Errant

13. Fill in the blank: I can’t stop listening to _________________.

I have been listening to Ellie Goulding – Love Me Like You Do (I hate that it comes from 50 Shades of Grey, but I can’t help that good music comes from terrible movies), Arash – Broken Angel (music in other languages is a favorite of mine), and Skylar Grey – I will Return. I actually have a YouTube Favorite list with all my favorite songs.

14. Your favorite post from your blog:

The Rich Details is my current favorite.

15. Your most recent post:

Self Portrait Saturday and Life , Death& Illness

    • Imagine would be so pretty! What type of font?? To get use to the idea I bought henna and had that on for a few months to make sure. I also debated the tattoo for a good five years before I even did the henna!!

  • I love get to meet you posts because I’m nosey/love reading about the writers behind the screen and domain name; this surely didn’t disappoint. I live a caffeine free life for medical reasons and sometimes that struggle is so real! What’s your favorite non-caffeinated beverage?

    Southern Belle Secrets

    • Sometimes caffeine free is so hard!! Starbucks use to have a vanilla rooibos tea that was free of caffeine but not anymore. So I usually end up with Mint, as that’s always a safe choice. Restaurants I usually order hot water and lemon. Root beer is caffeine free and is a great choice for ice cream floats. Otherwise water… lots and lots of boring water. Do you have a beverage of choice??

      (Thanks for your lovely comment!!)

  • Love the inspiration behind the tattoo! It’s nice to “meet” you! 😉

    Ohio Stripes

    • Thank you!! Meaning behind ink is important to me!!

  • I just made the switch over to self-hosted and it’s so amazing! Also, that Elie song is my favorite too! Such great taste 🙂
