Favorite (and Random) Amazon Finds

I love Amazon. I really do. I signed up for Amazon Prime when I got to college (because college students get 6 months free of 2 day shipping, DO IT) and eventually got a full on membership. 2 day shipping IS THE BEST EVER. A LIFESAVER!

I realized how much I rely on Amazon for the basics but also how much I rely on Amazon for totally random shit. Here are my favorite Amazon finds!

Munchkin Backseat Organizer ($8)

At first, I was sooo into this thing because I’m a nanny aka kids aka we carry around a lot of random stuff. But I realized that it’s actually so convenient for MY stuff too. It looks really sleek and I love the black color with the light blue accent. I didn’t know I’d care so much about the colors of an organizer, but I do. It’s important.

AmazonBasics 4 Piece Packing Cube Set ($23)

When I went to Africa (read more here), these cubes were my pride and joy. I had to pack two weeks worth of summer clothes, a week’s worth of extreme weather gear (-15 Fahrenheit below 0, people), shoes, and any other supplies like hiking poles and headgear into one duffle. I was panicked about the room. Did you read the part about just one duffle? Thankfully I had these cubes and I sorted all of my clothes. The cubes worked so well because I had everything easily accessible, which came in handy when we had to get ready in the dark.

The Gift of Fear ($10)

This book really changed my life. If you’ve been reading the blog for a while you know I say that a ton about Eat Pray Love, and The Gift of Fear is right on up there. It’s all about how to identify fear, intuition, and how to rely on your gut. The author, an expert on violent behavior, gives you strategies to pick out red flags and remove yourself from sketchy situations.

Oster Blender ($35)

I just bought my own blender because I’m obsessed with making smoothies and I looooove it. The only thing that bugs me is that it takes a little bit to break down and clean, but I don’t mind enough to not use it. Know what I mean? I make a pitcher’s worth of smoothie and refrigerate it for the week.

And if you’re looking for a smaller, on-the-go blender:

Hamilton Beach Single-Serve Blender ($17)

This is what I had before the bigger blender, and I still use it sometimes on weekends when I don’t have pre-made stuff. It’s great! I just needed a different size to make more at one time.

Any favorites on Amazon I should know about? Let me know!

Amazon, the best place to find the most random but needed items. Interesting choice for a book suggestion, totally adding to my lists of books to read.
