Yep. Dang right I was a snowman for Halloween. I was just trying to speed up the whole Christmas process which BTW is right around the corner!!! Like tomorrow!! CHRISTMAS EVE!!
^ That’s my best friend, Cricket. That’s not her real name but that’s her nickname and everyone in my family calls her Cricket because she’s just fun and jumpy and happy and bright and beautiful. Just like a happy, jumpy cricket.
^ The weekend before Halloween, I went to visit her (since we’re in a long distance best friendship and lemme tell you that SUCKS. IT REALLY SUCKS) and I had the best time I’ve ever had in college. Not kidding. With her is where I belong. Not sorry bout it.
I’ve been really blessed to be her best friend since freshman year of high school and I seriously don’t know what I would do without her. We text all day, everyday, our families are each others families, and she’s the best older sister I’ve ever had.
Yes, she’s older than me. Not happy bout it.
She even knew me when I was athletic, so no one can tell me any different. She’s a witness!! I know my coordination now might make you doubt my all star athletic abilities, but those abilities were there. Once.
I can’t put into words how thankful I am for her patience, kindness, and her wise words.
And now she’s gonna talk to you guys.
MEET MY BEST FRIEND, Y’ALL! I’m so honored and so excited to have her writing for Always, S today. Throughout this holiday season I’ve been really counting my blessings, and Tess is one of my biggest ones. This post has a speed-dating feel to it, but its whatever, because whenever we go out to eat the waiter already thinks we’re dating.
I came up with some questions to ask her so you could find out how amazing she is, but first Tess talks about us:
How did you meet? Savannah probably doesn’t remember this but I was shopping with Abby and Savannah was doing a scavenger hunt with TTP at South Point. Like 8th grade. But we really clicked at tennis!
When did you know you were best friends? Probably when I couldn’t leave Savannah’s side after tennis practices!
What is your favorite movie? She’s the Man or She’s the Man
Who takes longer to get ready? Savannah most of the time. [Um. Blogger side note thing here. Blame it on the hair.]
Who is the better driver? Psh we both fabulous drivers.
Who has more shoes? Oh gosh. We’d have to sit and count to make sure!!! [Savannah note: Tess does.]
3 things you love to do together? Eat, laugh, and family bonding
Your favorite bff memory: When Savannah brought me soup, a balloon, and a homemade feel better card when I was sick😭💕
Your traditions: Christmas nights together, New Years, create as many inside jokes as possible
Where do you see us as best friends in 10 years? Trying to figure out how to have a baby at the same time. [Hi Savannah here again. LOL. This is so true.]
NOW ITS ALL ABOUT TESS WOO GET READY!
If you could change your first name what would it be? I don’t even know, but definitely not Tess. Something with MORE THAN ONE SYLLABLE. Like Victoria or Alessandra!
What are you most passionate about and why? Definitely my relationship with God and my family. Those two things are the most important things to me in my life! Why? Because God gave me life and blessed me with those in it! Including my best friend, Savannah 💕
If you could buy one material thing and money wasn’t an issue, what would you buy? Definitely a log cabin
Favorite quote? “If you’re worrying you’re not praying, if you’re praying you’re not worrying!”
Dream vacation spot and why? Bora Bora because it’s like perfect and romantic, too bad I’m single.
If you were a cupcake, which kind of cupcake would you be? Freaking Red Velvet with fancy sprinkles, ammmiright?
Favorite childhood memory? My 4th birthday I was made the boss all day so I got to say no to my brother every two seconds. 😎
Which famous person do you want to be BFFs with? Carrie Underwood because she’s a Goddess and sings like an angel and she can teach me her ways.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Married and makin babies.
See how amazing she is, you guys? I’m so lucky to have her as my best friend. Anyone who knows her is lucky. And I can’t wait to have her at my house this Christmas for our annual tradition – wearing cozy PJs, watching movies, eating a lot of
junk good food…do you have any holiday traditions with your BFF?
