Confetti Talk is a new series on Always, S that introduces you to some of my big blogging inspirations! You’ll learn all about what they do, what makes them happy, and how they stay happy. And be prepared for a whole lotta PINK. Real people, real happy. Throwing kindness around like confetti.
Who are you?
I’m Erica! Originally from Reading, PA, now in the City of Brotherly Love. I’m graduating from the Wharton School at UPenn in May and going on to run my own business full-time as a digital marketing and brand strategist, as well as lifestyle influencer/blogger!
What makes you happy?
What is one thing you would tell your high school self?
Don’t worry so much over whether or not “people like you.” There will always be people that like you, and there will always be people that just don’t. That’s called life.

What is one thing you use on a daily basis that you can’t live without?
Coffee, but I swear that’s just in my blood at that point so it doesn’t count. 😉 This lipstick has been my go-to for awhile now. I lovelovelove bright pops of color, and I love the formula of this one…it feels really smooth and hydrating, which is important to me since I’m constantly throwing on a lipstick or other strong lippy! The color also lasts forever, so that’s good when you still want to drink yo’ coffee and have yo’ snacks without being a hot pink mess. Ha! But really though, I’m naked without lip color (+ mascara). It’s my crutch!
How do you stay positive when you’re stressed out?

For what in your life do you feel most grateful? How do you show that gratitude?
I think I feel most grateful for the people who constantly pour love and support into my life without ceasing and without expectation of anything in return. Sometimes, it seriously catches me off guard! I think I always have room to show more gratitude…it’s something that’s really important to me and I just never feel like I’m good enough at it or giving someone enough to really make me feel like it suffices! But I try to pour equally back into those people and go out of my way to show them how much I care…I like writing long notes or an unexpected gratitude email or just calling someone to tell them how appreciative I am of them and what they really mean to me. I think those sorts of messages “just because” go a ridiculously long way and aren’t sent enough!

What kind of legacy do you want to leave?
Holy moly. Legacy? That’s intense. At the end of the day, I think my deepest desire is to genuinely inspire people. To be seen as the best friend that’s always there for you, without fail, whether it’s an offline friendship years in the making or an online connection that only happens here and there. I want people to know me as someone who is 100% authentic and truly gives a s*** about them personally. If I can do something or say something to make your day better, reach out – I want nothing more! I want to be that person who is just there for people and can be relied upon to be an uplifting force in this world. And if at the end of the day people can look up to me as an example of how to do one thing or another, that’s just amazing.
When you’re 100, what will matter to you the most?
Probably eating as much dessert as I possibly can and drinking all the champagne. Because at that point, life’s a party, right? 😉
Why Erica inspires me: I met Erica through a blogging group on Facebook but really didn’t get the chance to know her until we were put together to lead a blog tribe. We Skyped for about an hour one day to talk about the tribe and I noticed immediately how genuine and sweet she is! She told me all about her blog, her fiance (!!!), and her school. I always go to her blog first if I’m in need of inspiration or a pick-me-up. Erica is so relatable and SO funny. And she’s never afraid to be really real. You won’t regret stopping by Coming Up Roses, I swear.
