Confetti Talk is a new series on Always, S that introduces you to some of my big blogging inspirations! You’ll learn all about what they do, what makes them happy, and how they stay happy. And be prepared for a whole lotta PINK. Real people, real happy. Throwing kindness around like confetti.
Who are you?
I’m Cristina Mandujano and I am from Houston, TX. (Just like Beyonce…twins.) I am the content creator and founder of my life + style blog, Cristina Was Here.
What makes you happy?
Oh gosh. Tacos, eating on a patio, puppies, my family, my boyfriend, creative writing, romantic comedies that don’t have any sad parts, books on greek mythology, Shakespeare quotes that I’ve memorized but don’t really understand, oldies music, bubble baths, laughing, and listing things that make me sound really nerdy.
What is one thing you would tell your high school self?
Nothing ever goes according to plan and that’s ok. Don’t worry what people think too much…and don’t wear too much eyeliner.

What is one thing you use on a daily basis that you can’t live without?
I was going to say water, but I think I need to dig a little deeper than that. I really don’t want to say my phone, but how else could I instantaneously communicate with my loved ones? I go to school pretty far from home, so it’s nice to be able to talk to my parents whenever I feel like it.
How do you stay positive when you’re stressed out?
I focus on the bigger picture. The little deadline that I have may be important now, but it won’t matter in two years. Or I focus on the fact that whatever I’m worried about probably won’t even happen and everything will be fine.

For what in your life do you feel most grateful? How do you show that gratitude?
I think I really feel grateful for what I’ve been blessed with as far as my creative abilities. I’m horrible at math, baking, and directions on a map, but I have a knack for writing and it’s really taken me places. I try to show that gratitude by always aiming to help people (i.e. giving tips on my blog) and just bringing people joy with what I am able to do.
What kind of legacy do you want to leave?
I hope people remember what I was all about. It doesn’t really matter if they followed me on Instagram or if they remember any of my blog posts, but if they know what I stood for – confidence and loving yourself as well as challenging yourself every day to be the best that you can be…that’s good enough for me!
When you’re 100, what will matter to you the most?
That all 100 candles will fit on my birthday cake. …..Kidding! (Kinda.) I just hope that I can say that I spent a lot of good times with the people I love and that I inspired them all in some way.
Why Cristina inspires me: I first got to know Cristina through social media, especially with #galpalchat on Twitter (best Twitter chat EVER, people), and she is the absolute sweetest! She has a great series, Ask Cristina, that addresses some frequently asked questions about blogging, productivity, and staying organized. If you’re looking for life and style advice, inspiration to stay on top of your sh*t, and videos that guide you through the basics of blogging, she’s your girl.
