How was your love day, everybody? Mine was filled to the brim with PINK and flowers and sweet treats and even sweeter friends.
The sweet boys I nanny for gave me FLOWERS. How cute is that?! My heart exploded when the oldest (4 years old) pulled the bouquet out from behind his back and said, “Happy Valentine!!”
Of course, we had to put together old school Valentines for our friends. Temporary tattoos were a must! And who doesn’t LOVE Fun Dip?
Our kitchen was a DISASTER during this whole process and we were blaring a Beyonce concert that we found on YouTube. 2 WHOLE HOURS of the queen, y’all. Wow. #blest.
I’m a sucker for funfetti if you can’t tell already. Its my absolute favorite.
ALSO!! PSA!!! THIS candle is on sale at Target right now and WHOA its the best thing I’ve ever smelled in my whole entire freaking life. They have a babier version that’s $8 I think? And this jumbo one you see above was only $12. I KNOW RIGHT? Who knew? You continue to impress me, Target. Hurry to your local store before they’re all gone!!
We ended the weekend with a late night showing of How to Be Single. SO funny. Go see it, please. That’s an order. It actually made me cry. The movie is all about learning to love yourself and being comfortable on your own. I think it made me cry because the main character, Alice (played by Dakota Johnson), learns how to be okay with who she is and what life has thrown at her and that’s something I think we all struggle with, relationship or not. It was a really uplifting movie and it doesn’t matter if you’re dating someone – its a must see. And Valentines Day or not, I sure do love going out with my friends! Don’t wait for a holiday to roll around to make plans, catch up with those who make your heart happy, and do sweet things. Call your mama and tell her you love her. Take your BFF to lunch just because. Treat yoself to a mani/pedi. Spread some love, people.
