2015: A Year in Review

2015 – wow, what a year! I can’t believe this is all coming to an end. Without a doubt, this has been the craziest year of my life. Let’s take a look:

I tried and loved a lot of new food

traveled across the country (and back)…

  • drove 5, 756 miles across the US
  • …and flew 4, 678 miles to Oahu, Hawaii
  • spent approximately 100 hours in the car for that drive across the US
  • drove through Arby’s about 246 times because #college and #noparents AND #curlyfries (!!!)
  • called my mom around 1,459 times because, again, #college. Life is hard, y’all. Moms make it better.
  • packed up all of my stuff and moved 6 different times after transferring to a new school because one and done just wasn’t my thing (actually, my apartment complex had some issues, but that’s another story for another time).
  • added 2,200 pins to my board
  • designed 3 websites
As far as firsts, I have…
  • eaten rattlesnake tacos in Colorado
  • been on the set of Jurassic World in Hawaii
  • backpacked through the mountains of North Carolina
With Always, S, I have…
    • expanded to 11 blogging networks and communities
    • created a Twitter account
    • established a presence on Pinterest
    • rebranded with the work of 17th Avenue and the beautiful design of my friend Valerie

Here’s a recap of my 2015 goals:
      1. Ride in a hot air balloon
      2. Travel outside of the US
      3. Attend a protest in Washington, D.C.
      4. Make the Dean’s List
      5. Start the training process to become a doula
      6. Become CPR certified
      7. Learn how to snowboard or ski
      8. Learn how to drive a stick shift car
      9. Go to a concert
…and here are my goals for 2016:

▴ Declare a major

▴ Travel outside of the US

▴ Expand Always, S in SOME way

▴ Ride in a hot air balloon

▴ Go to a concert

▴ Watch the ball drop in Times Square

▴ Attend a blogger meetup

▴ Run a 5k

▴ Host a blog link-up
